Mr. Ziauddin is a professional electrical engineer having more than thirty years’ experience in power generation, transmission and distribution system of Pakistan. Till recently he was at a very senior position in Government of Pakistan heading Power Section of Planning Commission of Pakistan. He remained deeply involved in detailed power demand and supply analysis/projections; preparation of policies, tariff analysis; technical, financial, economic, and environmental appraisals of power generation, transmission, energy loss reduction, and distribution projects, including detailed transmission studies; development of various tariff scenarios offered to the private sector for Kot Addu power plant; completed a study on WAPDA’s power plant with regard to the induction of the private sector in power generation; familiar with system operation codes; preparation of 25 years Energy Security Action Plan approved by the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Mr. Ziauddin developed spread sheet based power demand projections and power balance model. The power demand model gives electrical energy requirement for various sectors of economy taking in to account economic growth of the country and power balance model provides power demand and supply position on monthly basis
He has hands-on experience of execution of power generation, transmission and distribution projects from tendering to final commissioning.
