Mr. Nehal holds degree in Electrical Engineering from NED Engineering College Karachi and has over 40 years diversified experience in various public & private sector organizations within the country and abroad, which include Pakistan Steel Karachi, Elicha Steel Plant Zhadanov Russia (Ex-USSR), Duja Establishment Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Ministry of S&T, Govt of Pakistan and now Élan Partners (Pvt.) Ltd i.e. an engineering consultancy firm based in Islamabad.
In Pakistan Steel, he remained associated with planning, tendering, bid evaluation, installation, testing & commissioning of thermal power plant. In Russia, he undertook an extensive training course in R&M of thermal power station of Elicha Steel Plant. In Saudi Arabia, Mr. Nehal worked on a number of electrical construction projects located in Riyadh, Dahran and Hanakia (Madina).
While working as Director Technical in Ministry of S&T (NIE) Govt of Pakistan, Mr. Nehal managed project proposals, PC-1s, project appraisal and M&E of various R&D projects, seeking DDWP/CDWP/APCC approvals, handled DAC/PAC matters and performance audit, formulation of budget and human resource management .Mr. Nehal possess in depth working knowledge of preparing bidding documents, attended pre-bid meetings, bid evaluation, contract negotiations and awards having well conversant with PEC byelaws, PPRA Rules and procurement guidelines of the WB as well as ADB.
In Élan, he got an extensive experience of preparation of EOIs/PQDs/Technical & Financial proposals, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, preparation of EPC and O&M tender documents, Security documents, filing and defending of Tariff Petitions and Generation License Applications etc. in NEPRA, interconnection and coal transportation studies for hydel, thermal, solar, biomass and coal fired power projects of the country. As management consultant he managed 2 solar projects in KPK and Sindh
