Mr. Akmal is a financial analyst and has a Master’s degree in international accounting and finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has more than ten years’ experience in investment, strategic and financial consulting, and has worked on several commercial and retail sector projects. Among other assignments, he has served as the main consultant in the preparation of marketing and financial feasibilities for banking and finance companies and placement documents for a private hydroelectric power station in Pakistan that were used to solicit investments. He has carried out extensive analyses of the effects of finalization delays on the tariffs applicable to a private sector power project for use during negotiations, and contributed to the financial evaluation of power project proposals submitted to the government.
