Mr. Omar has carried out a wide range of environmental studies including environmental impact assessments (EIAs), environmental surveys, audits, and baseline surveys. He also has many years of experience in developing environmental management plans (EMPs) and systems (EMS), as well as conducting training workshops in these areas. A qualified electrical engineer, Mr. Omar also holds a degree in business administration, and has over twenty-three years of project management experience to his credit. He has been involved in hands-on work at project sites, as well as managing multiple portfolios encompassing aspects of design, engineering, planning, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance. Mr. Khalid’s professional exposure to a broad range of industrial projects—including oil and gas, power generation, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer and cement, and renewable energy resources—brings a critical understanding of environmental issues to his work.
